Working with Children Checks (WWCC)
When working around children, the use of a Working with Children Check is a basic requirement for all Adults and is FREE to obtain. The club takes a strong stance on Child Safety and WWCCs are required for all parents that are volunteering ongoing or in game day roles within our club.
On this basis, the following parent volunteers require a WWCC:
- Committee Member
- Coaches and Assistant Coaches
- Team Managers
- Trainers
- Runners
- Goal Umpires
- Umpire Escorts
All Parent Volunteers must have a WWCC - You can apply for a free Working with Children Check by clicking HERE.
When completing the online application form, the applicant must ensure UFGJFC is added as an organisation to the applicant’s details. It should be noted that the Occupational Field should read “Clubs and Associations Occupational Code 42” and note the Upper Ferntree Gully Junior Football Club, PO Box 91, Ferntree Gully Mail Centre, Ferntree Gully Victoria 3156
The applicant will receive an email confirmation from the Department of Justice advising whether they have passed the Working with Children Check or not. If they have passed, they should expect to receive their card in approximately 2 weeks.
All Parent Volunteers must link their WWCC to the UFGJFC - How do you check if my WWCC is linked?
Already have a valid WWCC, then click HERE to add UFGJFC as an organisation to your WWCC details. It should be noted that the Occupational Field should read “Clubs and Associations Occupational Code 42” and note the Upper Ferntree Gully Junior Football Club, PO Box 91, Ferntree Gully Mail Centre, Ferntree Gully Victoria 3156.
If you are a VIT registered Teacher or a member of Victoria Police, you are exempt from having to hold a WWCC, but you are still required to log on and register these details. You will also need to provide a copy of your VIT registration, including the expiry date. Police members will need to provide employment ID and send an email to: upperferntreegullyjnr@efnl.org.au
